Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Early Childhood Education Specialist to join our team at Friendship Community Care. This role is responsible for providing instruction, observing, and evaluating children's performance while creating a classroom environment that encourages learning and builds positive relationships with children, families, and staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care for each child on your caseload.
  • Provide direct teaching in the classroom for a minimum of seven contact hours per day per child.
  • Maintain a safe and healthy classroom environment, adhering to all relevant regulations and guidelines.
  • Collaborate with therapists, nursing staff, and parents to create Individual Treatment Plans (ITPs).
  • Conduct developmental screenings and assessments as scheduled or requested.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education, Special Education, or a related field.
  • Experience working with children with special needs and their families.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Estimated Salary Range:

$45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
