Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Technology Intern to join our team at Baker Group. As a Technology Intern, you will provide support to our Technology business unit while gaining real-world work experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Learn and understand building security, fire alarm, and parking systems
  • Assist with offering and implementing solutions to customers through engineering and field personnel
  • Develop and maintain relationships with existing customers and pursue opportunities for long-term customer relationships and revenue growth
  • Collaborate with project managers and project engineers to support project implementation, including inventory tracking, project scheduling, and internal punch lists
  • Gain knowledge of the systems and services provided by Baker Group through instructor-led and online training
  • Identify trends and make suggestions to improve support processes
  • Partner with project managers and project engineers to continue business development and build relationships

Requirements:

  • Working towards a degree in Security, Fire Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • Valid driver's license
  • Exceptional customer service skills
  • Strong organization, prioritization, and adaptability skills
  • Proficient Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to lift 40 pounds

Work Environment:

At Baker Group, you will be exposed to typical construction site and/or industrial site risks and environments.
