Martin/Martin Consulting Engineers is seeking an experienced civil design expert to join our Lakewood, CO office. As a key member of our team, you will have opportunities to work on a wide range of civil design projects throughout the Front Range of Colorado and nationally.

Our skilled structural engineering teams provide custom solutions for new constructions and expansions, with a strong record in notable projects like Coors Field. Our civil engineering teams focus on site and infrastructure design, currently leading projects such as the 16th Street Mall redesign in Denver. We have nine office locations and a staff of 350, allowing us to regularly perform work across the United States and internationally.

Responsibilities

">
  • ">
  • Assist in master planning and conceptual design.">
  • Participate in fee determination and proposal preparation.">
  • Collaborate with Clients, Contractors, and other design disciplines to achieve project goals.">
  • Manage multiple engineering projects from start of design through completion of construction.">
  • Mentor a team of civil engineers and CAD technicians.">
  • Utilize AutoCAD/Civil3D to design, detail, and coordinate medium to large size projects within time allotments and within project budgets.">
  • Attend project meetings during design and construction.">
  • Ensure quality control of work produced.">
  • Provide project construction administration support including shop drawing review, responses to Requests for Information (RFIs), and field observations.">
  • Monitor project budgets and reviews and/or approves invoicing to clients.">
  • Participate in collection and account receivable efforts.">
  • Work overtime, when necessary.">

Working Conditions and Requirements

This position requires working inside and outside the office to complete a wide range of activities. The following abilities are required:

  • Move inside or outside the office and on non-ADA accessible construction sites.">
  • Remain stationary for long periods of time.">
  • Repetitive movement on tasks such as using a keyboard or mouse.">
  • Carry, ascend, and descend a ladder.">
  • Identify color.">
  • Read, communicate, and document in English.">
  • Determine and exchange accurate information.">
  • Occasionally move or hold equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.">
  • Investigative: Position self in atypical environments and small, confined spaces.">

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • ">
  • At least 7 years of experience in site development.">
  • A Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited curriculum.">
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.">
  • Self-motivation and ability to work independently for extended periods of time.">
  • Strong written, technical, and interpersonal skills.">
  • Commitment to client services and a team-based approach.">
  • Attention to detail, delivering quality work products, and excellent client services.">
  • Ability to work with a wide variety of clients, regulators, and authorities.">
  • Proven marketing/business development skills.">
  • A PE license in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain one within three months.">
