SunSource is seeking a highly skilled Warehouse Driver to join our team in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Job Summary

The Warehouse Driver will be responsible for performing a variety of duties related to the shipping, receiving, storing, and issuing of assigned goods, including food, supplies, equipment, textbooks, and other materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Loads and unloads delivery trucks for the purpose of receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
  • Prepares orders by either pulling from stock or securing test boxes for the purpose of meeting delivery requirements.
  • Participates in physical inventories for the purpose of verifying stock and identifying losses.
  • Transports packages to and from destinations, ensuring timely delivery and excellent customer service.
  • Researches and plans for traffic, construction, and weather delays to ensure efficient delivery routes.
  • Uses navigation applications to determine the best route and ensures the vehicle is always fueled and ready for use.
  • Interacts with customers professionally at all times, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Keeps mileage records and repair records up-to-date, ensuring accurate tracking and maintenance of company vehicles.
  • Assists with identifying and recording scrap/surplus inventory, ensuring accurate tracking and disposal of excess materials.
  • Works closely with the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager to carry out tasks and ensure seamless warehouse operations.
Requirements
  • Valid forklift certification required.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills.
  • Proficiency in MS office skills, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, and ability to multitask.
  • Ability to read and interpret procedure manuals, wiring diagrams, and mechanical blueprints.
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
Work Environment

The Warehouse Driver will work in an indoor warehouse setting with moderate noise levels, including voices, office equipment, and foot traffic sounds.

Employee may interact with customers, sales representatives, and other internal departments.
