Job Summary

As a key member of the SunSource team, the Warehouse Driver will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and timely movement of goods and materials within our warehouse and to external destinations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load and unload delivery trucks, receiving stock and/or filling orders for transport.
  • Prepare orders by pulling from stock or securing test boxes to meet delivery requirements.
  • Participate in physical inventories to verify stock and identify losses.
  • Transport packages to and from destinations, arriving on schedule and fulfilling administrative needs.
  • Research and plan for traffic, construction, and weather delays, using navigation applications to determine the best route.
  • Interact with customers professionally at all times, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Maintain accurate records of mileage and repair history, and arrange for vehicle repairs as needed.
  • Assist with identifying and recording scrap/surplus inventory, and provide support to the Warehouse Supervisor or Manager as required.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or 1-2 years of warehouse experience.
  • Valid forklift certification and a valid driver's license.
  • Strong business, creative, and technical writing skills, with proficiency in MS Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent oral and written communication, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to multitask and work effectively in a team environment.
Work Environment

The Warehouse Driver will work in an indoor warehouse setting with moderate noise levels, interacting with customers, sales representatives, and other internal departments. The role requires the ability to sit for extended periods, use arms, hands, and fingers to handle items, and frequently crouch, crawl, stoop, or kneel.

Physical Demands

The physical demands of this role include lifting 50 pounds, sitting for extended periods, and using arms, hands, and fingers to handle items. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position.
