Job Title: Per Diem Multi-Modality Technologist

Mass General Brigham is seeking a skilled Per Diem Multi-Modality Technologist to join our team. As a key member of our imaging department, you will be responsible for performing CT and MRI scans safely and efficiently, ensuring the highest diagnostic imaging quality possible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide patients with a comfortable and safe environment, eliminating potential risks and adverse incidents in the CT and MRI rooms.
  • Maintain operation and control of the scanner, ensuring optimal imaging quality and understanding of emergency situations.
  • Work under the direction of radiologists, directors, and lead imaging specialists, clarifying and consulting on clinical protocols and reviewing acquired images.
  • Review requisitions/orders for accuracy and completeness, taking necessary action to correct any mistakes.
  • Follow established guidelines for access to the CT and MRI rooms, reviewing screening forms for completeness and investigating potential contraindications.
  • Perform prescribed warm-up and shut-down procedures on equipment, completing procedures within established time frames.
  • Establish rapport with patients, utilizing language and terminology appropriate to the listener to explain procedures and obtain additional information.
  • Work closely with reception/scheduling personnel, radiologists, nursing units, ED, clinics, and private offices to assure maximum use of personnel and equipment and minimize patient waiting time.
Requirements:
  • CT Technologist: ARRT registered, Commonwealth of Massachusetts Radiologic Technologist state license, or graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology.
  • MRI Technologist: ARRT registered with advance certification in MRI, or ARRT registered or MA state license and 6 months supervised MRI clinical scanning experience.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS/CPR) certification and compliance with CE requirements.
Working Conditions:

Provide for radiologic examination in a radiation-controlled environment, requiring mental and visual attention, manual dexterity, and direct contact with patients who may be infectious.

Physical Requirements:

Require lifting, reaching, transferring, and positioning patients, as well as direct contact with patients who may be infectious.
