### Job Summary

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Process Engineer Intern to join our engineering team at Echo Global Logistics. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in process engineering, working closely with experienced professionals on various projects that enhance our production efficiency and quality.

### Key Responsibilities

* Assist in the analysis and optimization of existing manufacturing processes
* Support the development and implementation of process improvements
* Conduct data collection and analysis to identify trends and performance metrics
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support process design and root cause analysis for process-related issues and recommend solutions
* Document findings and contribute to project reports and safety and quality assurance initiatives to ensure compliance with standards
* Shadow and learn from experienced engineers to gain insights into process engineering best practices

### Requirements

* Currently pursuing a degree in Supply Chain or Industrial Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering
* Strong analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools
* Ability to look at PMI programs
* Strong understanding of automation design, and continuous process improvement methodologies
* Basic understanding of process engineering principles and methodologies
* Excellent communication and teamwork skills
* Detail-oriented with a strong ability to problem-solve
* Familiarity with CAD software or process simulation tools is a plus
* Ability to determine ROI on automation and semi automation equipment
* Able to work in our Greenfield facility 5 days a week and travel to the Echo Chicago headquarters as needed
