Electrical Design Professional

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Design Professional to join our team at Orion Energy Systems, Inc. As a key member of our Voltrek team, you will be responsible for conducting site assessments, designing electrical infrastructure, and ensuring the safe execution of installations.
About the RoleThis role offers a unique blend of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and customer-facing responsibilities. You will work closely with our Site Engineer to develop project plans and collaborate with third-party Electrical PE's to ensure compliance with project specifications.
Responsibilities- Perform accurate and detailed site assessments of customers' facilities in compliance with projects' scopes of installation of EVSE.
- Design electrical infrastructure and price projects per project specifications.
- Work closely with Site Engineer to develop project plans and accurate pricing.
- Collaborate with third-party Electrical PE's to develop stamped plans when required.
- Function as Safety Officer, reviewing and advising on company safety policies and compliance.
- Evaluate contract pricing and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements.
- Licensed Master Electrician or similar with 10+ years of experience.
- Associate degree in electrical, construction, or related field, or equivalent years of education and/or experience.
- Possess experience working with utilities on new service work order requests.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and ability to safely climb ladders.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Estimated salary: $90,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on location and experience.
- Health, Dental, Vision insurance starting the 1st of the month following date of hire.

- Traditional or Roth 401k eligibility after 60 days, with company match.
- 8 hours of paid Volunteer time per year.
