We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team at United Salad Co. in Portland, OR.

About the Job

This is a full-time opportunity with a competitive hourly rate of $29 - $31 per hour, depending on experience.

As a Diesel Mechanic at United Salad Co., you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing class A trucks and refrigerated trailers, maintaining and servicing all equipment to Federal DOT standards, and performing routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment.

You will also be responsible for inspecting and replacing worn brake components, and using various hand tools and power tools to perform repairs.

Responsibilities
  • Diagnose and repair class A trucks and refrigerated trailers
  • Maintain and service all equipment to Federal DOT standards
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment
  • Inspect and replace worn brake components
  • Use various hand tools and power tools to perform repairs
Requirements
  • Must be 18+ years of age
  • Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions
  • A valid driver's license is required
  • Must have one year of truck and/or trailer repair experience
  • Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in a horizontal position for prolonged periods of time
