About the Position:

We are seeking Recreation Instructors to lead various classes for our Active Adult population at the City of Raleigh, NC. Our centers cater to retired adults aged 50 and older, offering a range of classes including fitness, art, educational, and social activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach classes for Active Adults, including fitness, art, and educational programs
  • Develop and lead engaging classes that cater to the needs and interests of our Active Adult population
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create a comprehensive program of activities for Active Adults
  • Provide excellent customer service and ensure a positive experience for participants

Requirements:

  • At least 18 years of age
  • One year of experience related to the specific class being offered
  • Experience teaching for older adults is preferred

Additional Information:

Active Adult Classes are offered at various centers, including the Anne Gordon Center for Active Adults and the Five Points Center for Active Adults. We are seeking instructors who are passionate about working with seniors and can create engaging and inclusive classes.
