Key Responsibilities:

  • We aim to establish a division comprising 3 Neonatologists and 2 Advanced Practice Providers to ensure comprehensive 24/7 coverage.
  • The selected Neonatologist will oversee up to 12 beds in a level 2 NICU.
  • This role includes daytime responsibilities and on-call duties from home. The advanced practice providers will be present on-site from 7 PM to 7 AM and will be the first point of contact, with the physician available for backup as necessary during those hours.
  • The Neonatologist will lead rounds to actively manage NICU patients, focusing on tasks such as ventilator weaning, nutritional adjustments, lab evaluations, and family consultations.
  • A complete range of support staff will be available, including excellent administrative assistance.

Qualifications:

  • Candidates must be board-certified in Neonatology.
  • MD, D.O., or an equivalent international degree.
  • Ability to obtain a medical license to practice in Maryland.
