Job Summary

Tower Health is seeking a highly skilled Pediatric Clinical Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our clinical pharmacy team, you will be responsible for providing specialized pharmaceutical services to improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and Implement Clinical Pharmacy Services: Assist in the planning, organization, and direction of clinical pharmaceutical services to achieve high-quality standards of care in pharmacy services related to specific areas of clinical expertise.
  • Provide Specialized Pharmaceutical Services: Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide specialized pharmaceutical services that improve drug usage and therapeutic outcomes for patients.
  • Develop and Evaluate Training Programs: Collaborate with pharmacy managers to develop and evaluate training programs for clinical pharmacy staff in specific areas of clinical expertise.
  • Prepare Formulary Reviews and Medication Use Evaluations: Prepare formulary reviews and medication use evaluations of medications used in specific areas of clinical expertise for presentation to the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee.
  • Participate in Multidisciplinary Teams: Participate in multidisciplinary teams related to clinical pharmacy initiatives and achieve satisfactory working relationships with other pharmacy leadership, staff, and hospital departments.
Requirements
  • Education: Doctorate degree in pharmacy or a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered in lieu of a Doctorate degree.
  • Experience: Relevant experience in clinical pharmacy services.
  • Certification and Licensure: Pharmacist license (PA Pharmacy License must be obtained within 90 days of hire).
  • Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
