Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Teller to join our team at Eastern Bank. As a Teller, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, processing transactions, and identifying potential financial needs for customers and non-customers alike.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Process deposits, cash checks, and sell monetary instruments, including official bank checks and foreign currency.
  • Verify cash and endorsements, and provide customers with receipts.
  • Properly record and file government-mandated reports related to large cash transactions and the sale of monetary instruments.
  • Process loan payments and credit card cash advances.
  • Assist customers with accessing safe deposit areas, as applicable.
  • Engage in the sales process by identifying potential financial needs and making referrals to platform staff.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 1-2 years of teller experience or cash handling experience.
  • Outgoing and customer-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and transport items weighing 15 pounds or more.
