Clinical Laboratory Technologist

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Laboratory Technologist to join our team at the NYU Langone Health Cancer Center. As a key member of our laboratory team, you will be responsible for performing complex clinical laboratory tests on specimens for diagnostic purposes under minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine microbiological/immunological testing of specimens on technologist level, ensuring accuracy and proper containerization.
- Subculture specimens to specific media for optimal recovery of microbes and identify their presence through culture, antibody, or other means.
- Perform antibiotic susceptibilities as applicable and accurately interpret and record results.
- Collaborate with superiors to assist in interpretation when necessary and perform Quality Control measures to ensure accuracy of results.
- Document results to ensure compliance with Medical Center and regulatory requirements.
- NYS Department of Health licensed as a Certified Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
- Bachelor's Degree in Clinical Laboratory Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
- One year of experience in a clinical laboratory setting, with completion of an internship at a qualified institution acceptable.
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- ASCP registry preferred.
- Multitasking abilities and flexibility.
