Job Title: Juvenile Case Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Juvenile Case Manager to join our team at the Employment Opportunity & Training Center of NE PA. As a Juvenile Case Manager, you will play a vital role in supporting and guiding juveniles with criminal records through the complexities of the justice system and their reintegration into the community.

Job Summary:

The Juvenile Case Manager will work closely with juveniles, their families, and other stakeholders to provide comprehensive case management services aimed at rehabilitation, skill-building, and successful reentry. This includes conducting thorough assessments, developing individualized case management plans, and providing support and guidance to juveniles as they navigate the justice system.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough assessments of juveniles' backgrounds, needs, and risks to develop individualized case management plans.
  • Provide case management, mentoring, and support to juveniles to address emotional, behavioral, and psychological challenges.
  • Advocate for juveniles' rights and needs within the justice system and community resources.
  • Facilitate workshops, groups, and programs focused on life skills, vocational training, education, and employment readiness.
  • Monitor juveniles' progress and compliance with court-ordered requirements, treatment plans, and probation conditions.
  • Respond to crises and emergencies promptly, employing de-escalation techniques and crisis intervention strategies as needed.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, or related field required or relevant life experience and 2 years work within the field.
  • Proven experience working with juveniles in the criminal justice system or related social services field.
  • Knowledge of juvenile justice laws, probation procedures, and community resources.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with juveniles, families, and stakeholders.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to work effectively independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
