Iron County is seeking qualified candidates for the role of Zoning Compliance Officer within the Building and Zoning Department. This position operates under the supervision of the Building Administrator of Iron County.

JOB SUMMARY:

The Zoning Compliance Officer is responsible for executing a range of technical tasks to ensure adherence to County, State, and Federal Uniform Building Codes and Ordinances. This role involves enforcing zoning regulations and other land use codes, as well as issuing notices of violations, penalties, warnings, and stop-work orders. (Refer to the complete job description for a detailed list of responsibilities.)

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High School diploma or GED equivalent

2. Familiarity with Building/Zoning processes and terminology

3. Minimum age requirement of 18 years

4. Successful completion of a pre-employment drug screening and comprehensive background check
