Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Counselor to join our team at Child & Family. As a Residential Counselor, you will play a vital role in providing a safe and supportive environment for our residents, promoting their physical, mental, and behavioral health.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized support to residents, focusing on their unique needs and goals.
  • Cultivate a trauma-informed environment by understanding the impact of trauma and neglect, and responding with empathy and sensitivity.
  • Collaborate with the therapeutic staff team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Supervise and engage residents in daily activities, recreational programs, and life skills development.
  • Implement behavior management practices and crisis intervention techniques, ensuring the safety and well-being of residents and staff.
Requirements and Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Minimum 6 months' experience working with children and/or adolescents, preferably in a residential setting.
  • Bilingual in Spanish preferred.
  • Strong organizational, critical thinking, and time-management skills.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office 365.
  • Ability to communicate and interact effectively with a diverse population.
  • Collaboration and teamwork.
  • Valid driver's license and authorization for a motor vehicle records check.
