Key Responsibilities- Assess and diagnose foot and ankle disorders, including but not limited to bunions, calluses, corns, and fungal infections.
- Refer patients to other medical professionals when symptoms indicate serious health issues.
- Create custom foot casts for orthotic devices.
- Prescribe corrective footwear and braces to address gait and balance concerns.
- Advise patients on preventive foot care strategies.
- Provide specialized care for diabetic patients, including nail trimming, callus removal, and ulcer treatment.
- Utilize advanced podiatric techniques, such as casting and laser therapy, to address deformities and other ailments.
- Prescribe medications for joint pain relief and recommend orthotic solutions to enhance mobility.
- Review and analyze patients' medical histories thoroughly.
- Order necessary diagnostic tests, including X-rays and ultrasounds, to ensure accurate diagnosis.
- Doctoral degree in Podiatric Medicine.
- In-depth knowledge of therapeutic and surgical interventions for lower extremity conditions.
- Familiarity with a variety of foot-related issues, including congenital abnormalities.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse patient populations.
- Demonstrated empathy and patience in managing complex health conditions.
- Current with the latest advancements in podiatric medicine.
- Willingness to travel to various service locations.
