We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Per Diem Clinical Nurse to join our team in the SICU department at Mount Sinai Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide exceptional patient care and support our mission to deliver high-quality healthcare services.
Job SummaryThe Per Diem Clinical Nurse is responsible for providing safe, competent, and quality care to patients and their families. This role requires strong clinical skills, excellent communication, and collaboration with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care.
Responsibilities- Patient Care: Deliver high-quality patient care by incorporating the tenets of Relationship Centered Care and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, and evidence-based practice.
- Assessment and Evaluation: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care effectively.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Patient Experience: Role-model Mount Sinai's Relationship Centered Care principles, considering patients' values, preferences, cultural diversity, expressed needs, and knowledge in all aspects of care.
- Quality and Safety: Practice safe and efficient patient-centered care, identifying and escalating barriers and opportunities for improvement.
- Operations: Perform charge nurse duties as assigned, coordinating supplies and inventory to ensure effective patient care.
- Credentials: Graduation from an accredited Nursing program; Bachelor?s Degree in Nursing (BSN); Associate?s Degree in Nursing (ADN) RN with current registration in New York State.
- Certifications: Basic Life Saver (BLS), NRP, ACLS, and PALS certifications are required for this role.
