Clinical Nurse-Days- Per Diem Role

We are seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to join our team at Mount Sinai Hospital. This is a per diem opportunity, where you will work on a part-time basis to provide high-quality patient care.
Job SummaryThe Clinical Nurse is responsible for delivering safe, competent, and quality care to patients based on nursing theory and research. You will work collaboratively with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
Responsibilities- Deliver patient care by incorporating Relationship Centered Care principles and applying the nursing process based on theory, research, evidence-based practice, and organizational standards.
- Assess and evaluate patient care needs, applying critical thinking skills to manage patient care.
- Integrate relevant assessment and intervention skills in the delivery of nursing care.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate patient care plans.
- Prioritize all aspects of patient care, including teaching, rounding, coaching, and planning after hospital care, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Educate patients and caregivers about their plan of care, transition of care, health promotion, and disease prevention.
- Communicate effectively and professionally with patients, family members, and the Interdisciplinary Patient Care Team.
- Graduation from an accredited Nursing program (BSN or ADN)
- Licensed as a registered nurse with current registration in New York State
- Basic Life Saver (BLS) certification
- Certification in NRP, ACLS, and PALS (depending on department)
