The Concrete Finishing Supervisor is responsible for effectively directing and overseeing the daily operations of crew members to ensure adherence to project timelines, specifications, and industry standards. This role includes providing essential training on safety and operational protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Strategically plan, coordinate, and manage personnel, equipment, tools, and materials to facilitate the safe and efficient execution of construction projects.

• Ensure proper operation and maintenance of construction machinery.

• Maintain comprehensive reporting records, including job quantities, productivity metrics, time sheets, and daily management reports.

• Assist in developing weekly schedules and managing the sequence of activities for the assigned crew.

• Ensure timely completion of work assignments within budgetary constraints while upholding the company's commitment to quality craftsmanship.

• Uphold the safety of all crew members by adhering to all relevant company and governmental safety regulations.

• Foster a positive crew environment through toolbox meetings and effective communication of safety concerns, work scope, plans, and schedules to team leaders and crew members.

• Monitor compliance with all company policies by employees under supervision.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated expertise and skill to perform all essential functions of craft workers under supervision.

• Ability to effectively plan tasks to safely and efficiently execute all assigned work, including training on safety practices and policies.

• Familiarity with scheduling, material control, unit manhour performance, estimating fundamentals, and job cost management systems.

• Proficient in understanding, following, and conveying written and verbal instructions, as well as communicating effectively with craft workers and management.

• Strong communication, motivational, and teamwork skills.

Requirements

• The individual in this role must be able to navigate a construction site, which includes standing, walking, sitting, reaching, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling.

• Regular exposure to a construction environment with varying outdoor weather conditions.

• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including weekends, overtime, and holidays as necessary.

• Capability to use ladders, mechanical platforms, manlifts, and scaffolding to access work areas, potentially exceeding heights of 200 feet.

• Ability to maneuver in confined and cluttered spaces and on uneven surfaces.

• Must be able to perform tasks in a noisy and dusty environment.

• May need to lift and move items weighing up to 50 pounds across the construction site.

• Possession of required tools is essential.

• Adherence to all safety and project regulations, with the ability to perform additional duties as required.

• Must successfully pass pre-access drug and alcohol testing, fit-for-duty medical evaluations, and background checks.
