{"Job Title": "Behavioral Health Technician", "Job Summary": "We are seeking a skilled Behavioral Health Technician to join our team at Discovery Behavioral Health. As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a vital role in supporting patients through their treatment experience, ensuring their safety and well-being, and providing a high level of care and compassion.

Responsibilities:

* Facilitate patient daily needs and provide support as needed
* Assist nursing staff with duties such as patient supervision, vital signs, and room searches
* Recognize and respond to crisis situations and provide interventions as necessary
* Consistently report to work on time and prepared to perform duties
* Deliver indirect and selected direct patient care as directed by facility leadership
* Conduct intake processes, searches of belongings, and complete BACs and drug screen observations as directed
* Monitor patient activity and document significant patient issues
* Record rounds and ensure patient safety
* Conduct regular facility and grounds checks and report any irregularities or safety concerns
* Notify and report health and safety issues, significant patient concerns, and any out-of-the-ordinary occurrences to facility leadership
* Complete all documentation requirements prior to the end of the shift
* Perform basic housekeeping duties
* Facilitate and lead daily groups as directed by facility leadership
* Attend all staff meetings and in-service trainings
* Complete all online training, policy verification, and ensure employee HR file is up to date
* Monitor and oversee self-administration of patient medication if applicable
* Provide transportation services, including patient transportation/supervision, errands, shopping, admits, outings, etc. (must be pre-qualified to drive a company vehicle)

Requirements:

* High School Diploma or equivalent
* Valid and unrestricted required State Driver's License if applicable
* Minimum of 1 year sobriety if in recovery
* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to document within an electronic system
* First Aid/CPR certification within 30 days of hire and required recertification annually thereafter
* De-escalation/restraint technique certification within 90 days of hire and recertification yearly thereafter
* Medication training within 30 days of hire if applicable
