We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Certified Surgical Technologist to join our Operating Room team at Central Maine Medical Center. As a key member of our surgical team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities- Assist surgeons and other medical professionals during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and adhering to strict protocols.
- Prepare and maintain surgical equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working order and easily accessible.
- Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and assistance as needed.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless communication and coordination of care.
- Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
- Current certification as a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
- One year of experience in a surgical setting, preferably in an operating room environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
