We are seeking a highly skilled Critical Care Nurse Specialist to join our team at PennState Health.

Job Overview

This is a full-time position in our Surgical Intensive Care Unit, where you will provide exceptional care to patients admitted for general surgery, trauma, transplant, and surgical services. As a Critical Care Nurse Specialist, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating nursing care to a designated group of patients.

Responsibilities
  • Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized plans of care
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families
  • Maintain accurate records and reports
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you must have:

  • A graduate degree in nursing or related field
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Pennsylvania
  • At least one year of experience in critical care nursing
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
