Position Overview

The Senior Analyst – Procurement plays a critical role in the requisitioning and purchasing of materials and equipment for Windstream. This position supports the formulation and examination of purchase orders, ensures compliance with negotiated contracts, and maintains the accuracy of costs associated with the items deployed within Windstream's network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze data from various sources to procure materials for the purpose of stocking multiple warehouses.
  • Process requests from internal stakeholders and key vendor partners into purchase orders for inventory management.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and vendors regarding ordering requirements, such as minimum quantities and cost discrepancies, to streamline purchasing processes.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and internal stakeholders to ensure that inventory management effectively stocks necessary materials.
  • Act as a liaison between vendors and databases to uphold the accuracy of regularly purchased items.
  • Review contracts, documents, and correspondence as necessary to verify the accuracy of purchase orders and invoices.
  • Maintain electronic records for audit purposes and compliance with regulatory standards.
  • Respond to internal inquiries regarding availability, lead times, and other pertinent information to support scheduling for ongoing and large-scale projects.
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and initiative to meet and exceed individual and departmental performance objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Proficient in computer applications, particularly advanced Excel skills; essential technical competencies in standard business applications and office equipment.
  • Knowledge of purchasing methodologies and procedures, along with the ability to analyze supplies and materials.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the capacity to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with all business units to enhance efficiency and problem-solving.
  • A college degree and 3-5 years of professional experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory role; or 7+ years of relevant professional experience with supervisory duties; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
