The Village Hotel F&B Café Attendant is responsible for delivering exceptional hospitality to guests at The Kitchen Café. Our team members are dedicated to providing timely and friendly service, ensuring the café area is well-stocked, clean, and organized according to our high standards. The role involves working collaboratively to create a world-class experience for all guests.

Work Schedule: Generally consists of 8-hour shifts, typically scheduled between 7 AM and 6 PM, across all days of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Delivering attentive service to guests.
  2. Maintaining a well-stocked and tidy café environment.
  3. Ensuring product freshness and availability at all times.
  4. Preparing menu items such as sandwiches and salads.
  5. Efficiently fulfilling beverage orders, including espresso and other drinks, in line with company standards.
  6. Learning and utilizing the Micros system for order processing.
  7. Exhibiting strong cash handling capabilities.
  8. Keeping the work area sanitized and clean, adhering to health guidelines.
  9. Demonstrating knowledge of the menu offerings.
  10. Cleaning coffee and espresso machines, as well as preparation areas, and completing all necessary side work.
  11. Staying informed about Village Hotel, Inn on Biltmore Estate, Antler Hill Village, and local events and attractions.

Qualifications:

Previous experience in hospitality or guest service is highly desirable. Candidates should possess a cheerful and considerate demeanor, with a genuine commitment to providing outstanding service. Basic math skills and proficiency in handling cash and credit transactions are required. The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, prioritize tasks, and adapt as necessary is essential. A strong team player who is proactive and exercises sound judgment is preferred. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age.

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and stand or walk for extended periods. The role may involve working in varying temperature conditions.
