Position Title: Facility Maintenance Specialist

Location: Must be able to commute daily

Primary Objective:

The Facility Maintenance Specialist is accountable for assessing, inspecting, and executing repairs on electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems, ensuring the effective upkeep of material handling machinery, HVAC systems, and the overall premises in compliance with industry regulations and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Address work requests, including minor repairs on facilities, fixtures, and plumbing systems.
  2. Conduct advanced maintenance and repairs on HVAC systems, air handlers, heat exchangers, fluid lines, valves, fans, ducts, dampers, vents, and control systems.
  3. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and various shop equipment proficiently.
  4. Perform basic electrical maintenance tasks, such as replacing or repairing fixtures, including wall switches, outlets, and light bulbs.
  5. Execute minor plumbing repairs, including fixing leaks in drains and faucets, as well as unclogging drains.
  6. Carry out minor painting, carpentry, and masonry work, including surface preparation and application of paints and stains.
  7. Handle minor material handling equipment repairs, such as changing light bulbs, checking fluid levels, and clearing debris.
  8. Collaborate with external vendors for repairs that necessitate specialized skills or certifications.
  9. Additional duties may be assigned as required.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in an automated environment or a related field.
  • Exceptional technical, planning, and troubleshooting abilities are essential.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the capacity to identify problems, analyze root causes, and collaborate on solutions.
  • Self-motivated individual with the ability to work independently.
  • Experience with powered belt and roller conveyors, as well as warehouse induction lines.
  • Familiarity with warehouse doors and ramps.
  • Basic knowledge of electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and landscaping tasks.
  • Mechanical knowledge of material handling equipment and/or operating experience is a plus.
