Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team, working with K-8 students in a school-based setting. As a dedicated professional, you will conduct comprehensive evaluations, design and implement individualized interventions, and collaborate with teachers and parents to support student growth.

About the Role

This is a full-time position covering K-8 students throughout the school year. The ideal candidate will have experience working in schools or a passion for this setting. You will work closely with our team to provide critical support to help children overcome barriers to their learning and development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough evaluations to identify needs related to motor skills, sensory processing, and functional independence.
  • Design and implement targeted occupational therapy interventions to promote student participation and success in the classroom.
  • Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and parents to develop and support IEP goals.
  • Provide direct therapy services, both individually and in group settings, to improve fine motor skills, coordination, and other developmental areas.
  • Maintain detailed progress reports, documenting student growth and adjusting treatment plans as necessary.
Qualifications and Requirements
  • Masters degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • North Carolina Occupational Therapy license or eligibility.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred but not required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work with students, staff, and families.
  • Ability to manage caseloads and schedules efficiently.
