Job Summary and Responsibilities
We are currently in search of a driven Certified Respiratory Care Specialist to assist us in achieving our objectives. In this role, you will assess the respiratory needs of patients and develop and implement individualized Respiratory Care Plans.

As a vital member of our team, you will:

  • Manage the application and operation of acute care ventilators for both short- and long-term mechanical ventilation.
  • Demonstrate self-direction in the absence of the full-time Team Leader.
  • Maintain accurate departmental and hospital records, ensuring precise data entry into the hospital's computer system for the therapies administered.
  • Set up and deliver all routine and complex respiratory therapy procedures for patients across all age groups.

Qualifications:
- Completion of a Vocational/Technical program or an AMA-approved respiratory care program (Associate's Degree); Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Current Florida State License (CRT) as a Certified Respiratory Therapist.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association required.
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS), and Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certifications to be obtained within six months of hire.
- Physical ability to stand, bend, reach, squat, kneel, and move equipment frequently.

Additional Requirements:
- ACLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- NRP certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- PALS certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
- State Certified Respiratory Therapy Technician, Licensed Certified Respiratory Therapist (LCRT), or completion of an Associate Degree or Vocational School program.
