We are seeking a highly skilled Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner to join our team at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian. As a key member of our multidisciplinary care team, you will provide high-quality advanced nursing care to patients with psychiatric and mental health needs.
Responsibilities- Provide patient evaluations and assessments, patient education, interventions, and documents plan of care.
- Request physician consultations and multidisciplinary consults as needed.
- Recognize and address ethical, legal, and medical dilemmas in the nursing practice, conferring with appropriate resources and staff when necessary.
- May work as an independent provider or under indirect supervision of a supervising physician.
- May see all age populations and work different hours, weekends, and holidays, with possible on-call time.
- Master's in Nursing (MSN) or DNP required.
- Current license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner in California.
- Furnishing license issued by the State of California and personal DEA number.
- National board certification as a Nurse Practitioner in the area of specialty required.
- Additional department-specific requirements may apply.
- Bilingual or multilingual preferred.
- Experience in Neuroscience or Psychiatric Mental Health preferred.
