Interventional Radiology Nurse

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Interventional Radiology Nurse to join our team at 61st Street Service Corporation. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities- Assess patients before and during interventional radiology procedures, ensuring their safety and well-being.
- Administer medications and intravenous fluids accurately and safely, adhering to strict protocols and guidelines.
- Establish and maintain intravenous access for contrast, medications, and fluids, ensuring seamless patient care.
- Deliver high-quality patient care, including physical, psychological, and cognitive assessments, and provide preprocedure instructions and postoperative care.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other healthcare professionals to ensure effective patient care and outcomes.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and maintain accurate records and documentation.
- Perform other duties as assigned, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare team.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
- New York State RN license required.
- Current BLS/ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
- 1 year of prior monitoring experience in interventional radiology or 2 years of ER, ICU, OR, Cath Lab, Telemetry, or Recovery Room experience required.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to deescalate stressful situations.
- Strong ability to make sound judgments and execute appropriate actions based on patient needs and facility policies.
- Basic proficiency in computer skills, including Electronic Health Systems, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, and email systems.
- Ability to move around freely and assist in lifting physically compromised patients.
- Visual and auditory acuity to perform tasks related to patient care.
