Medical Wound Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the Center for Wound Healing & Hyperbaric Medicine in Taylor, MI. As a Medical Wound Specialist, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the success of our wound care program.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will have a strong background in wound care and hyperbaric medicine, with a minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting. You will be responsible for conducting comprehensive nursing assessments, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing evidence-based treatments to promote optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Conduct thorough nursing assessments, including collecting objective and subjective data from observations, exams, interviews, and written records
- Develop and implement individualized plans of care based on nursing assessment and diagnosis, prescribing interventions to attain expected outcomes
- Collaborate with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care and achieve positive patient outcomes
- Provide education to patients and their families on wound care, management, and prevention
- Evaluate patient responses to nursing interventions, documenting findings and communicating them to the healthcare team
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR)
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing with a BSN degree
- Current state RN licensure
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience in a hospital or outpatient setting, preferably in wound care
- Certification in wound care (WOCN) preferred
- Knowledge of hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) principles and practices
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- A competitive salary range of $80,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience
