Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Meat Department Leader to join our team at Kroger. As a key member of our store leadership team, you will be responsible for leading the Meat Department to achieve sales and profit goals, while maintaining a safe and clean environment for our customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the Meat Department team to achieve sales and profit goals
  • Maintain a safe and clean environment for customers
  • Monitor and control inventory levels to minimize waste and maximize sales
  • Develop and implement sales promotions and marketing initiatives to drive sales growth
  • Train and develop department associates on their job performance and participate in the performance appraisal process
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, including food safety and sanitation standards
  • Collaborate with store management to achieve overall store goals and objectives
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • 2+ years of experience in a meat department or related field
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
  • Knowledge of food safety and sanitation standards
