Position Summary: The primary focus of this role involves the design and application of fluid power systems, providing technical support, selecting components, assisting in manufacturing processes, and generating quotations. This position will also engage in various technical functions to ensure the operational success of Depatie Fluid Power Company.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engage with customers to understand their needs.
- Identify application requirements and specifications.
- Design, analyze, troubleshoot, and review fluid power circuits.
- Create Bills of Materials (BOM) and prepare quotations.
- Develop technical drawings, including 2D schematics and 3D models using CAD software (Solidworks).
- Prepare engineering and quality documentation.
- Manage projects effectively.
- Provide support to manufacturing processes.
- Act as a technical resource for the design, assembly, and performance evaluation of fluid power systems.
- Offer recommendations for assembly and installation.
- Conduct system testing and quality inspections.
- Serve as a technical advisor to both customers and sales personnel.
- Participate in customer and supplier visits on a limited basis.
- Evaluate products and make informed recommendations.
- Select appropriate vendors for components and services.
Qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Able to work independently or collaboratively within a team.
- Possess a 4-year technical degree in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Have a minimum of 3 years of technical knowledge and experience, preferably in hydraulics and pneumatics.
