Responsibilities:
The essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

1. Escorting patients to and from exam rooms, physician offices, and treatment areas as necessary.

2. Recording patient information prior to each physician visit, including vital signs, height, weight, allergies, and medication updates.

3. Obtaining all necessary patient records as required by the physician before treatments or procedures.
4. Preparing and stocking exam/treatment rooms and ordering supplies as needed.
5. Assisting physicians with examinations and procedures as requested.
6. Administering subcutaneous and intramuscular injections, as delegated by RN or physician.
7. Maintaining all exam/treatment room disinfection protocols.
8. Answering patient phone calls for referrals to physicians or nurses/pharmacists.
9. Calling in prescriptions and making other patient calls as directed by physicians and RNs.
10. Informing physicians of patient reschedules and no-shows.
11. Performing other administrative tasks, such as typing, filing, faxing, chart preparation, and reception duties as requested by supervisors or physicians.
12. May enter orders under a provider's direction and supervision.

Qualifications:
The ideal candidate for the Certified

Medical Assistant position will possess the following qualifications:
Level 1
High school diploma or equivalent.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
This is an entry-level position requiring 0-3 years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
Current BCLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Some state regulations may necessitate specific certifications to work as a Medical Assistant.
Level 2
(in addition to level 1 requirements)
Minimum of three years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant.
Phlebotomy experience preferred.
Certified Medical Assistant preferred.
Level Sr
(in addition to Level 1 and 2 requirements)
Minimum of five years of experience as a medical assistant or nursing assistant in a clinical setting.
Current CPR certification required.
