We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as the Executive Director of Managed Care Partnerships. This key role will be responsible for leading our payor relationships and managed care contracting activity across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead Payor Relationships: Develop and maintain strong relationships with payors to ensure successful contract negotiations and implementation.
  • Contract Management: Oversee the development, implementation, and ongoing management of managed care contracts, including identification and tracking of critical contract and renewal dates.
  • Contract Analysis: Maintain a thorough understanding of all payor contract language and monitor contract performance regarding financial performance, payment integrity, and compliance with contract terms and key performance indicators.
  • Liaison and Communication: Serve as a liaison between the company and payors with respect to revenue cycle management issues and monitor payor activity with respect to network development, product strategies, payment policies, and other relevant market intelligence.
  • Relationship Building: Oversee payor relationships with a focus on promoting proactive, professional, and collaborative relationships.
  • Contract Optimization: Recommend contract management tools to enhance and streamline the contracting process and work collaboratively with various Newport Healthcare operating units to improve functions across departments and with payors.
  • Value-Based Care: Assist in developing creative pricing and contract structures, including value-based care arrangements, to ensure value to the payor and profitability for the company.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Maintain familiarity of State and Federal regulations, laws, and legislative agendas regarding health insurance, managed care, mental health parity, and value-based care.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Prepare performance, statistical, and other operational reports and manage facility and provider credentialing.
  • Leadership and Development: Supervise, oversee, and develop direct reports in accordance with their job descriptions, all Company requirements, and the dictates of personnel management best practices.
Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business or a related field required; master's degree preferred.
  • Experience: 10+ years of full-time professional experience in managed care contracting required; 5+ years in a leadership role required.
  • Industry Knowledge: Demonstrated knowledge and ability to analyze payor contracts, provider manuals, reimbursement methodologies, and rates.
  • Leadership Skills: Exceptional interpersonal, relationship-building, and listening skills, with a natural, consultative style.
  • Communication Skills: Expert in advising, presenting to, and persuading senior leaders.
  • Business Acumen: A winning mentality and ability to drive business results.
