At Ryder, we are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic Technician to join our team in Greenville, SC. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy-duty vehicles.
Key Responsibilities:- Perform routine preventative maintenance, including oil changes, brake and tire work
- Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systems
- Advanced skilled level repairs, including major engine repairs, diesel after treatment, and automotive fuel injection repairs
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Vocational or Technical Certification, Post-Secondary degree, or Technical Certifications preferred
- Basic tools required
- Demonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines
- Four (4) years or more relevant work experience preferred
- Valid Commercial Driver License (CDL) CLASS A preferred
- Competitive hourly pay
- Certification bonus of $100 for each new ASE certification obtained up to $700
- Quarterly bonus: Ryder pays up to $500 every quarter
- Sign-on bonus: Ryder pays $3000 at 30 days and $3000 at 90 days
- Medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and other benefits start at 30 days
- 12 weeks of paid maternity leave
