Job Title: Mechanical/Electrical Technician

ITW Hartness is a world-class manufacturer of secondary packaging equipment, headquartered in Greenville, SC. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical/Electrical Technician to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to support the sale of packaging equipment in the Food, Beverage, and Personal/Household Care industries. As a Mechanical/Electrical Technician, you will work closely with our customers to understand their needs and provide expert technical support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assemble and read blueprints, apply mechanical and electrical skills, and use basic hand tools in a production environment.
  • Work safely in a fast-paced team environment and meet production schedules while producing quality work.
  • Travel to customer sites for Field Support and provide excellent customer service and support.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot issues, and think logically about solutions.
  • Utilize an array of electrical tooling, such as strippers, crimpers, and terminal torque wrenches.
  • Provide daily reports and submit expense reports in accordance with ITW Hartness Travel Policy.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent, Associates Degree in a related field preferred.
  • 1-3 Years of Mechanical & Electrical Experience.
  • Strong work ethic, drive to succeed, customer service orientation, and strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

Physical ability to regularly lift 35 lbs., bend, and twist, stand and/or walk for an entire hour shift. Must be able to climb above floor level. Able to work overtime or travel with short notice.
