Parking Attendant Job Description

Job Summary: We are seeking a Parking Attendant to join our team at the Moda Center in Portland, OR. As a Parking Attendant, you will be responsible for providing excellent customer service to patrons, collecting payment, and maintaining a clean and organized cashier booth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct patrons to available parking spaces and assist with parking needs.
  • Collect payment from patrons using cash, credit cards, or validation.
  • Provide accurate change and issue receipts for all transactions.
  • Complete daily shift paperwork, including recording transactions, vehicle counts, and contract parker information.
  • Maintain a clean and organized cashier booth, free of debris and trash.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, including greeting patrons, answering questions, and resolving issues.
  • May be asked to complete small cleaning or maintenance tasks as assigned by location management.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • High school degree preferred but not required.
  • Ability to read, comprehend, and communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Ability to provide customer resolution in a professional and friendly manner.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ year of customer service experience.
  • 1+ year of cash handling experience.

Physical Demands: The employee will be required to stand, walk, sit, use hands-to-fingers, handle tools or controls, reach with hands or arms, talk and hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25lbs.

Work Environment: The employee may be subjected to weather conditions prevalent at the time. The employee is regularly exposed to fumes and airborne particles. The noise level in this work environment can range from minimal to moderate.
