Position Overview:

As a Deli Cashier and Food Prep Associate, your role will encompass a variety of responsibilities aimed at ensuring the smooth operation of our food service area.

Your daily responsibilities include:

  • Consistently preparing meals to the standards set by the culinary leadership.
  • Maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assisting in the training of new kitchen staff.
  • Exhibiting a friendly and helpful demeanor when interacting with customers and team members.
  • Completing any additional tasks as assigned by your supervisor or management.
  • Filling out daily checklists and production records as directed.

To excel in this position, the following qualifications are necessary:

  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • A high school diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.
  • Ability to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
  • Capability to write simple correspondence and effectively communicate in small group settings.
  • Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division.
  • Ability to follow detailed written or verbal instructions and solve problems in standardized situations.
  • Completion of Serve Safe certification within 90 days of employment.
  • Familiarity with kitchen tools and equipment, as well as the ability to identify and handle food products appropriately.
  • Proficiency in reading and executing recipes.

Physical Requirements:

While performing the duties of this position, you will be required to stand for extended periods, use your hands for various tasks, and lift up to 50 pounds. Vision requirements include close, distance, color, and peripheral vision.

Work Environment:

This role may expose you to risks such as electrical shock and moving mechanical parts, with a moderate noise level.
