Chief Information Officer

MTN WST is seeking a highly skilled Chief Information Officer to lead our technology initiatives and drive digital transformation. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive IT strategy that aligns with our business objectives.
Key Responsibilities- Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a comprehensive IT strategy that supports the company's business objectives and enhances its competitive advantage.
- Technology Leadership: Lead the IT department in the design, development, and management of technology systems, ensuring scalability, security, and reliability.
- Cybersecurity: Oversee the protection of sensitive data and ensure robust cybersecurity measures are in place to mitigate risks.
- Digital Transformation: Drive the company's digital innovation, including automation, cloud solutions, and AI integration, to enhance client and employee experience.
- Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external technology vendors and service providers, ensuring the company gets the best solutions and value.
- Data Analytics: Implement data-driven decision-making processes and utilize analytics to inform business strategies and improve customer insights.
- Compliance: Ensure that all IT operations comply with industry regulations and internal policies, particularly regarding data privacy and security.
- Budgeting: Oversee the IT department budget, managing resources efficiently and aligning spending with business priorities.
- Team Leadership: Build and lead a high-performing IT team, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Collaboration: Engage with MTN WST leadership, representing the company at industry venues and maintaining executive presence and seamless communication with other C-level executives.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (Master's preferred).
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in IT leadership roles, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry.
- Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong organizational and time management skills, knowledge of insurance-specific software and systems, familiarity with data analytics and machine learning applications in the insurance industry, ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
