Research Scientist Leader

The Dartmouth Health Nursing Research Scientist position is a part-time opportunity that offers the ideal candidate a chance to make a meaningful impact in the field of nursing research. With a minimum of 5 years of experience in developing nursing and interdisciplinary research, you will be responsible for conducting research throughout the Department of Nursing and directing the Research and Evidence-Based Nursing Program.
This role involves advancing knowledge and clinical practice by creating a culture that supports inquiry and evidence-based decision-making. You will mentor novice nurse researchers, teach staff about research and evidence-based practice, and work to procure outside funding in support of nursing research.
Key responsibilities include reporting to the Nursing Director of Education and Research, working with nursing leadership to execute strategic planning initiatives, and developing and evaluating a nursing research and evidence-based practice program. You will also be responsible for educating nurses and other disciplines about research design, methodology, and analysis, as well as promoting and coordinating research studies.
The successful candidate will have a PhD in Nursing Science or equivalent education and experience, a minimum of 5 years of experience in nursing and interdisciplinary research, and a strong track record of funded research projects. A licensed RN with NH eligibility is required, and the salary range is $112,673.60 - $180,273.60 per year.
