Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced CDL A Delivery Driver to join our team at Core-Mark. As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for delivering and unloading food and food-related products to customers in a safe and timely manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Drive a tractor-trailer or straight truck on intrastate and interstate routes to deliver and/or unload food and food-related products to customers.
  • Communicate and interact with customers, vendors, and co-workers professionally to ensure accurate and timely responses to questions and concerns.
  • Perform all required safety checks, including pre/post trip inspections, to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations and company safety standards.
  • Report all safety issues and/or repairs required, and follow all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies.
  • Inspect trailers for properly loaded and secured freight, and perform count checks of items and check customer invoices of products that have been loaded.
  • Complete all required paperwork associated with freight, including damage control checks and verification of delivery of items with customers.
  • Unload products from the trailer, transport items into designated customer storage areas, and perform general housekeeping duties in the tractor, loading dock area, and trailers.

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent
  • 1+ years commercial driving experience
  • Valid CDL-A
  • Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable)
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for past 3 years
  • Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check
  • Pass road test
  • Attains or has valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card
