Health Services Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Health Services Assistant to join our team at Yavapai County.
About the Position:This role is responsible for providing administrative support in a medical office setting, including performing clerical duties for clinical services.
- Checking patients in and out of the health center and collecting fees with reconciliation.
- Obtaining eligibility, patient information, and insurance verification.
- Answering telephones, scheduling appointments, and processing messages.
- Processing specialty referrals and filing documents into the electronic health record.
- Performing other job-related duties as assigned.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- A minimum of one year of general office experience, preferably in a medical office setting.
- Knowledge of electronic practice management systems, medical records management, and medical terminology.
- Business English, spelling, grammar, punctuation, and composition skills.
- Clerical office practices and procedures knowledge.
- Research techniques and report writing skills.
- Current Microsoft Office software proficiency.
- Filing and recordkeeping skills.
As a Health Services Assistant, you can expect:
