The Patient Care Coordinator (Dental) is the primary point of contact for patients, visitors, and guests at our Comprehensive Community Health Centers Inc. location. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities:- Welcoming and greeting patients, visitors, and guests in a professional and courteous manner.
- Registering new patients and updating existing patient demographics, including personal and financial information.
- Verifying insurance and obtaining necessary authorizations, as well as collecting payments due.
- Maintaining provider schedules and ensuring timely communication with patients and clinical staff.
- Responding to patient inquiries and taking messages for providers and staff as needed.
- Keeping the front office and reception area clean and organized.
- Attending trainings and meetings as required.
- Handling incoming and outgoing mail per office protocols.
- Preparing daily reports and batches for the business office.
- Facilitating patient flow by following check-in protocols and communicating with patients and clinical staff.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two years of experience in a community health setting, preferably in a dental office.
- Medical or dental assistant certification is preferred.
- Experience operating a computer and word processing software.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required.
- Ability to travel between clinics may be required.
