STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER JOB SUMMARY

Under the guidance of a Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer, you will execute tasks that involve basic engineering calculations and analyses, both in the office and on-site for various engineering projects. You will assist in the design and detailing of structural components for building permit submissions.

STRUCTURAL DESIGN ENGINEER JOB DUTIES

  • Assist in the development of structural designs for diverse engineering projects.
  • Conduct calculations for structural components.
  • Create construction plans and details that adhere to company standards.
  • Collaborate closely with team members to understand project requirements and office procedures.
  • Communicate effectively with staff to foster a collaborative team environment.
  • Adhere to budgets and timelines established by the Senior Project Engineer or Project Manager.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Architectural or Civil Engineering with a focus on structures from an accredited institution.
  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in structural analysis, design, and detailing.
  • Familiarity with concrete, steel, and masonry structural systems.
  • Experience with commercial structural analysis and design software.
  • Knowledge of the California Building Code and ASCE 7.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit is preferred.
  • EIT certification is preferred.
