Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Mechanic Technician III to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our fleet maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing quality preventive maintenance inspections and repairs on our fleet of vehicles and equipment.

Responsibilities
  • Perform required inspections and preventive maintenance on vehicles and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and cost efficiency.
  • Conduct FAI/CVI inspections on all fleet vehicles, including tractors, trailers, and converter dollies, in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations.
  • Perform quality maintenance repairs to maximize safety and reliability on all fleet vehicles and equipment.
  • Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems on vehicles and equipment.
  • Mentor and train junior technicians to aid in their development and advancement within the company.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training or certification in diesel engine repair or heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL if required by the company.
  • ASE certifications and EPA section 608 certification preferred.
Working Conditions

This position requires frequent work outdoors, exposure to extreme temperatures, and occasional exposure to hazardous materials. The associate must be able to lift up to 100 pounds and work in confined spaces.
