Job Title: Diesel Mechanic

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at The Kenan Advantage Group. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing vehicle maintenance and repair duties safely and accurately in a fast-paced environment.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on Class 5 through Class 8 Commercial Vehicles and tank trailers. You will be responsible for performing routine maintenance tasks, diagnosing and repairing complex mechanical issues, and ensuring all work is completed to the highest standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues, including engine problems and electrical system malfunctions
  • Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting or exceeding company quality control standards
  • Work safely and efficiently, adhering to all company safety protocols and procedures
  • Collaborate with other technicians and supervisors to ensure smooth workflow and meet production targets
Requirements:
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Minimum 1-5 years of experience in heavy-duty vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Basic computer knowledge and experience with maintenance software
  • Ability to obtain Air Brake Certification and DOT commercial motor vehicle inspector certification
  • EPA 609 certification (Motor Vehicle Air Conditioning Repair)
