Heavy Civil Project Manager

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Heavy Civil Project Manager to join our team at Sterling Infrastructure, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of heavy civil projects, from conception to completion.
Key Responsibilities- Manage all phases of heavy civil or heavy highway projects, including planning, scheduling, budgeting, and execution.
- Manage direct reports (Superintendents & Project Engineers) to successfully deliver complex heavy civil projects on budget, on schedule, and with the utmost quality.
- Utilize Primavera P6 scheduling software to develop CPM schedules and updates, ensuring projects are executed on time and budget.
- Prepare and present project updates, reports, and financial analyses to senior management and stakeholders.
- Coordinate with clients, engineers, subcontractors, and all project-related stakeholders to define project requirements and objectives.
- Develop and implement project plans, including resource allocation, procurement, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress, identify potential issues or delays, and implement proactive solutions to keep projects on track.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, quality standards, and contractual requirements.
- Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and excellence.
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in heavy civil construction, with a proven track record of managing large-scale projects.
- Experience managing heavy civil projects of at least $10M.
- Strong technical knowledge of construction management, heavy civil construction, civil engineering principles, construction methods, and materials.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Strong experience forecasting, projecting, and tracking all project-related costs.
- Strong experience in change order management.
- Strong technical proficiency in BlueBeam and Excel.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Proficiency in Primavera P6 scheduling software.
- Commitment to safety, quality, and client satisfaction.
