Job Title: Mechanical Engineer

Relocation Available-Richmond, VA

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team in Richmond, VA. The successful candidate will have experience with machine design and be able to provide mechanical machine design, including sizing and specifying all mechanical design components.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide mechanical machine design, including sizing and specifying all mechanical design components.
  • Assemble complete and accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for the machine/system design.
  • Provide field service technicians with remote support during system service calls, installation, and commissioning.
  • Provide on-site troubleshooting and startup support, with up to 15-20% travel.
  • Provide solutions for End of Life (EOL) components to support customer needs.
  • Responsible for maintenance of technical documents.
  • Assist the Applications Engineering and Equipment Product Managers during the scope phase of a potential project.
  • Assist sales with custom design solutions and custom quote estimating.
  • Support product groups through demonstrated teamwork and influencing skills.
  • Identify and implement process improvements.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or a combination of an AA degree and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience).
  • Significant machine/mechanism design experience.
  • Ability to understand, design, and document pneumatic control systems.
  • Experience with technical documentation, including equipment manuals and bulletins.
  • Experience with equipment and plant layout design.
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD and proficiency in 3D modeling applications (e.g., Solid Edge/Solid Works/Inventor).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple processes simultaneously.
  • Excellent organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Proven problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable multitasking and working in an agile environment.
What We Offer:
  • Salary Range: $95,000-$105,000.
  • Relocation assistance.
  • 15-20% travel to job sites.
